Recruitment of Captains on Turbo Prop

The Pilot has to go through internal assessment, Interview and any other pre-requisite as deemed necessary by the selection board.

i.                     Upgrade of Captains within the TMAPL a pilot shall fulfill the following minimum requirements:

·             Should be Indian national;

·             Hold current and valid Indian ATPL, FRTO, RTR and medical;

·             Hold English language proficiency certificate at a minimum ICAO standard Level 4;

·             Minimum 2000 Hours total flying experience including 500 hours on type in the company.

·             Has not been held blameworthy for an Aircraft accident/incident.

ii.                     Direct recruitment as Captain shall fulfill the following minimum requirements:

a.    For Indian National - Type rated

·             Hold current and valid Indian ATPL, FRTO, RTR and medical;

·             Hold English language proficiency certificate at a minimum ICAO standard Level 4;

·             Minimum 2500 Hours total flying experience including 300 hours on type as PIC;

·             Has not been held blameworthy for an Aircraft accident/incident.

b.       For Indian Nation - Non-Type rated (Ex Defence Pilots)

·             Hold current and valid Indian ATPL, FRTO, RTR and medical;

·             Hold English language proficiency certificate at a minimum ICAO standard Level 4;

·             Minimum 2000 Hours total flying experience including 500 hours of PIC or 300 hours of commercial flying experience.

·             Has not been held blameworthy for an Aircraft accident/incident.

c.   Expat Pilot

As PIC, the flight crew should have a:

·            Minimum flying experience - 2000Hrs

·            Minimum PIC flying experience – 1000 Hrs

·            Minimum PIC on type/variant - 100 hrs with current IR/LR check/ PPC (Pilot’s Proficiency Checks).

·            Recent experience - at least three takes-off and landings within the preceding 90 days on the type of aircraft applied for, or in a flight simulator approved for the purpose.

·            Passed a proficiency check on a flight simulator by a DGCA-approved examiner covering PF and PM duties (duration of 4Hrs; i.e. 2Hrs each).
